Capitol staff are always courteous. They provide excellent service, and are honest about how long a procedure might take and how much it might cost. They are generous enough with their 'loaner' that I never have to worry about being inconvenienced when I have major work done. I recommend them unequivocally. Karen T

I like these guys & gals. They are pleasant and honest and take care of 4 cars for us. Sometimes they are pretty busy, so don't put off scheduling what you need done.

Hubs & I have been coming here for almost 10 years and I won't take our cars anywhere else. Don't let the name fool you-they do pretty much everything...oil changes, brakes, mufflers, windsheild wipers, water pumps, timing belts, AND tires! The team at Capitol Tire keeps me up to date on what to expect with our vehicles and give me options on what to repair and when. They even put on brand new tires for me during a blizzard so that I could drive home safe! The other thing I like is all the windows in the waiting lounge...plus coffee and cookies and magazines if you don't want to watch TV. They've also given me free loaner cars. What more could you ask for? Capitol Tire & Service is AMAZING. They're also busy, so book your appointments sooner than later. :)

Honestly, I couldn't be happier to have found this shop! I've gone to them for other repairs, but when I just needed some tires put on I let another place do it. That shop told me that I needed extensive repairs that would cost almost $2K...fearing the worst I came to Capitol Tire to get an estimate from them---only to be told after they examined my vehicle that there was nothing wrong! Their knowledge, honesty, and integrity saved me thousands of dollars in this one visit. Best shop in the Madison area!!

They beat three other tire quotes on comparable brands, including what seemed like a very good Costco "sale". They've got quality mechanics who can handle most anything. If you're interested in car care that is beyond the, "read the factory specs & do what it says," - and you instead want real advice from pros on what they would do (& what they would not do), this is the old school shop you're looking for. They remind me of the honest mechanics I grew up with in my small town that everyone trusted.

Dealt primarily with Tom there but every single person I came into contact at the shop was extremely friendly and helpful. They snuck me in the middle of probably their biggest season to get my winter wheels and tires mounted up. I even stopped by the day before thanksgiving to drop off a part I had forgetting to give them and they were working hard past 6 PM to get my tires mounted in time for the snow. Cost was reasonable and the work was done very well - no marks at all on my wheels and they helped me load them up in my truck to take home. Honestly couldn't have gone better. Thanks guys!

Hands-down the best place to have your car looked at in the Madison area. See Bert. Clean, friendly, excellent prices. I've been going to them for years now and have never been surprised by a bill. You can actually trust these guys.
