Capitol Tire and Service was able to fix a problem with our Subaru that the dealer had misdiagnosed at least four times. Trustworthy, patient, helpful - we will take all of our cars there now.

I usually bring the car in -- not my husband, so I especially appreciate that they don't "condescend" or upsell. While they do indicate if something is due/worn out, I never feel pressured for additional products or services. And they explain cost-benefit of doing stuff vs. waiting. I've never had any problems scheduling service -- but I would not expect next-day service. Plan to wait a week or more as they have lots of faithful clients. There's a nice, comfortable, clean waiting room with snacks (popcorn or cookies), hot beverages, wifi and an adorable, big, black lab. (I just wish they didn't use styrofoam cups, but that's another story). Quick, reliable, honest professionals with good customer service at a locally-owned family business -- you could do far worse when it comes to car repairs.

The exhaust fell off my car late one night so I took it to the nearest shop, which happened to be Capitol. I called them the next morning and explained what happened. Caleb looked at my car and told me everything after the catalytic converter needed to be replaced, and that it would run about $1000. That's obviously asanine, so I called my dealership and explained it. They told me if the converter was fine and it was everything after it that needed to be replaced, it would run about $175. This was much more reasonable so I strapped the exhaust up so it wasn't dragging and took my car there. They looked at it the next morning and called me to tell me that all the parts were still in good shape and nothing needed to be replaced, it just needed to be reattached. It would only cost $60. Capitol charged me $30 just to LOOK at my car. I should also mention that while paying the $30 to get my key back, I saw some else's receipt on the counter. That person paid $147 for an oil change, two wiper blades, and a light bulb. Capitol is without a doubt the worst mechanics I've ever encountered when it comes to intentionally overcharging their customers. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!!!!

Always prompt and thorough. I love the fact that I can get a ride home if service is going to be lengthy.

We have our snow tires and all season tires put on here every year. They store the set of tires that is "out of season". Reliable tire service.
