OWNER/Master Certified Automotive Technician
Meet Bert, Capitol Tire and Service’s owner! With over 30 years in the automotive repair industry, his commitment to excellence has earned him an ASE Certification as a Certified Master Technician with a L1 (Advanced Engine Performance Specialist). In addition, he is Master ASE Engine Machinist Certified and ASE Under Car Specialist. He is a graduate of MATC auto tech program with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. He enjoys the daily challenge that the automobile delivers and the satisfaction of keeping them going. Bert likes to spend his weekends with his wife, Kelli, two daughters and his best buddy, Scout. They enjoy outdoor family activities such as: camping, boating, fishing and snowmobiling.
Team Manager/COO
Went to Westosha Central High School, US Army for 6 years specializing in diesel and jet turbine engines, ASE certified, and attended Diesel Training School. Enjoys woodworking, fishing, boating, hiking and camping. Partner, Meagan. Four kids: Izzy, Carter, Gracie and Addie. 2 dogs, Labs, Stout and Charlie.
Service Advisor
Caleb joined Capitol Tire and Service team in 2017 as one of our Full-Time Service Advisors. He has been in the automotive industry for over 15 years helping customers with their automotive needs. Prior to joining us he was an Automotive Technician and a Service Advisor in shops around the Madison Area. When Caleb is not at the shop he enjoys riding trails in his UTV and listening to live music. Caleb is married to his high school sweetheart, Jamie. He has a step-daughter and a son.
Master Certified Automotive Technician
Mike has been with Capitol Tire and Service for 5 years. With over 30 years in the automotive industry, a 2-year Technical Degree from MATC, and his ASE Certification as a Master Technician, he can fix just about anything! He is trained and certified in all aspects of automotive repair to include; domestic, foreign, and hybrid vehicles. This makes him an excellent addition to Capitol Tire and Service's Family. We do need to be careful though that the "REAL MIKE" is showing up to work as he has an identical twin brother. He is fond of riding his motorcycle in the summer and hitting the snowmobile trails in the winter.
Certified Automotive Technician
Ben studied computer science at UW Madison. Ben and his wife, Bailey have two young kids that keep them very busy. On his off time, Ben enjoys playing video games. He and his wife enjoy fishing when they get the time.
Certified Automotive Technician
Cody has been in the automotive field for about 19 years. He studied at Southwest Technical College where he earned his 2-year Technical Diploma. Cody has four children. His passion for football goes beyond watching the games to playing football video games. He enjoys kayaking with his sweetheart and kids.
Maintenance Automotive Technician
Dylan has been with the Capitol Tire and Service team for almost 3 years now. Prior to automotive, he worked as an information technologist. Dylan’s biggest interest is gaming with his buddies. He looking into starting Autocross this spring. He volunteers to help his friend’s band set up for shows. Dylan served in the National Guard for 7 years and is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Chief Quality Officer
Kelli has previously worked in healthcare. She is being adventurous and trying something new! Working behind the scenes fostering a culture of quality and ensuring that the organization delivers products and services that meet high standards of excellence. Kelli and Bert are very proud of their two daughters. They all enjoy bon fires, fishing, boating, and being outdoors with their beloved dog, Scout.
Service Advisor
Derik brings years of experience in customer service and management to his role as a Service Advisor at Capitol Tire & Service. With a BA in Social Science and History, he’s built his career around clear communication, patience, and a strong understanding of people—all valuable traits when helping customers make informed decisions about their vehicle care. Outside of work, Derik enjoys staying active with his favorite pastimes: sports, fishing, and traveling. He and his wife stay busy raising their three children and spending time with their two energetic dogs, Bruno and Neeno.
Shop Support Specialist
Matt serves as a Shop Support Specialist at Capitol Tire & Service, where he plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes. When he's not supporting the team in the shop, Matt channels his creativity into photography and videography—particularly capturing automotive content through freelance projects. Matt and his wife, Rebekah, enjoy spending time outdoors with their two children. As a family, they love traveling, camping, hiking, and swimming whenever possible.
Maintenance Automotive Technician
Marcos serves as a Maintenance Automotive Technician, bringing hands-on experience in diesel engine maintenance to the team. He has completed a specialized course in virtual excavator simulation and is bilingual in Spanish and English, allowing him to assist a wide range of customers. Outside of work, Marcos enjoys playing soccer, swimming, and spending quality time on the weekends with his wife, Sandra, and their son, Juan.
Shop Dog
Meet Bert and Kelli’s family dog, Scout. You can see him in the front of the shop a few days per week. He may be running to greet you at the door or more likely sleeping on Kelli’s lap while she is working. Scout likes long hikes in the woods, bear hunting and is a regular boat captain.
