Madison Auto Repair

I've trusted Capitol with three different vehicles (models from 2017, 2014, and 1991) during my time in Madison, and I can confidently say that they are deeply honest and helpful mechanics. They've often gotten me in on short notice despite the fact that they are usually very busy, their prices are extremely fair, and they've even done very minor repairs for me for free in the past. I am a young woman, and I am used to being treated poorly by mechanics who either treat me like an idiot or try to rip me off—this has NEVER happened at Capitol. They are some of the most respectful and trustworthy mechanics I've ever worked with. Would recommend, 10/10.

Capitol Tire is simply the best. We have been going there for many years. It isn't only that the mechanics are great, which they are. It is that Sean and Tom are honest and will never rip you off. If you are someone who knows very little about cars, you never have to worry about someone at Capitol Tire taking advantage of your lack of knowledge, because they won't. We think of Capitol Tire as having great doctors for our cars!

Yesterday was my first experience with Capital Tire but certainly won't be my last. I was very impressed in the speed and quality of the service and by how much the staff went out of their way to make sure I was being taken care of. They were quick and proactive in offering me transportation while my car was in the shop and did a good job communicating what needed to be done, what could optionally be done, and when the service was finished. Overall a great experience.

Since I don't own a tire gauge, I relied on the staff of Capitol Tires to confirm my perception that my front tire wasn't as inflated as it should be. Rather than topping up the air and sending me on my way, the technician on staff concluded that something was amiss. Without an appointment, they got my car in for service, gave me a ride to my appointment, found a nail, repaired my tire, and charged me nothing - reminding me that I had paid for an extended service contract. I really appreciated their thoroughness and thoughtfulness.
