This shop is my go to for auto work. I highly recommend them, they are professional, honest, and quick. They never try any funny business you hear out of chop shops. Some people think the price is a little steep but i happily pay good money for service i know will keep my vehicle running.

We would give six stars if we could. We were coming into Madison from out of town and began to hear a loud buzz from the rear of our SUV. Called this location based on reviews that they were reliable, reasonable, and honest...they squeezed us in within an hour, found we had a loose wheel, tightened it up for us, and our family was able to enjoy our day in town. They were able to fix it super quick and didn’t even charge us. Thanks Bert for your expertise and kindness!

Brought my car in two weeks ago because there was a transmission fluid leak. Asked them to take a look at it and they quoted me a minimum repair of $4000 for a brand new transmission. I didn’t believe that it needed a whole new transmission so I rented a trailer and hauled my car 2.5 hours to my home town and brought it into a local mechanic I knew. He did a few things and determined that the transmission works fine it was just having problems because of the leak that sprung a few days ago. He quoted me for a 350$ fix. Either the guys here at Capitol Tire and Auto are either unskilled at determining the problem, or deliberately trying to scam me for upwards of a few grand. No thanks.
